Covid-19 has dramatically impacted the mental health of healthcare professionals and we owe it to ourselves to dig in deep to self-care and reflect on what it is that we need.
Unwound Retreats was created pre-pandemic to bring self-care to healthcare providers to offer a time and space for us to nurture our minds, learn, grow, and travel together.
Nicole Johnson is an ICU nurse, podcaster, speaker, and now a Continuing Education Provider with over a decade of bedside experience. She currently is enrolled in a certification course on 'Happiness at Work' through the Greater Good Science Center of UC Berkley, and has taken a course through Mindfulness Northwest on Mindful Based Stress Reduction. Unwound Retreats mission is to offer time and space for nurses to come together, learn about stress reduction practices, and practice them together.
As an Critical Care Nurse, Nicole has experienced first hand the stress of ICU nursing and the impact working during the pandemic has had on nurses.
